How to find the perfect pair of Nike sneakers

The Nike sneaker community has been buzzing about the upcoming release of the “Womens Summer” colorway, which has been dubbed as “the first” colorways in the brand’s history.
While we still don’t know much about the brand beyond its recent rebranding and the fact that the new colorway will be available in both the US and Canada, the colorway is set to hit shelves July 27th.
We’ve put together a guide that explains all the information you need to know about the colorways and what to look for in your favorite Nike sneakers.
What are Nike’s latest shoe releases?
In 2017, Nike released its first “Women’s Summer” shoe, the “Nike Free” and its subsequent “NKE Summer” range.
In 2018, Nike launched the Nike Air Max, which is a high-performance shoe designed for women.
In 2019, Nike announced the Nike+ Ultra Boost, a sleek, midsole-free sneaker with an “X” in the middle.
The next Nike shoe, Nike+ Boost, was released in 2019 and the Nike Zoom, an all-new sneaker that debuted in 2020.
In 2021, Nike introduced the Nike Fuel Band and Nike+ Running Band.
The “Nokee” Nike Air Yeezy and the “Kiko” Nike Nike Air NMD were the first Nike sneakers that had a “nike silhouette.”
The “Nikes” name has since been taken over by the Nike Yeezer and Nike Fuelband, both of which have been released in 2021.
In 2022, Nike was granted a trademark for the Nike name.
In 2024, Nike started a partnership with Adidas to make the Nike T-shirt.
The partnership ended in 2024 and Nike decided to stop producing Nike shoes in 2024.
In 2025, Nike also made its own sneaker, the Nike Dunk, which was the first high-end sneaker to hit the market.
In the 2030s, Nike made the first “nikes” to go to the Nike Sportswear Collection, a collection that included the Nike Xfinity, Nike Flyknit, Nike Zoom and Nike Air Jordan.
In the 2040s, the first women’s Nike shoes were released, the Yeezles.
In 2060, Nike teamed up with a shoe company to make a shoe called the “Airy.”
The Airy was released a few years later and included the “Ski” and “Nuke” sneaker silhouettes.
In 2020, Nike partnered with Adidas in an exclusive deal to make Nike+ shoes for women in 2020, and Nike also partnered with Nike to make shoes for men in 2020 and 2021.
In 2021, Adidas was granted the “Sportswear” trademark.
In that same year, Nike began releasing its own sneakers, including the “Yeezy Boost,” “Xfinity” and the Air Yeezys.
In 2024, Adidas made a new sneaker line, the Adidas Air Jordan 1.
In 2022, the Air Jordan XI debuted, and in the following years, Nike’s sneakers would continue to feature a “W” in its name.
The “W-Ski,” “Wnike” and Adidas-branded sneakers continued to dominate the market until the mid-2020s.
In 2018, the new Nike Air Force 1 sneakers were released and were a departure from Nike’s “classic” silhouette.
Nike released the “Ape,” “Kangaroo,” “Panther” and Nike Zoom sneaker series in 2018, along with the Nike Boost and Nike Nuke sneakers in 2019, along in 2020 with the Air Max and Air Max 2.
In 2020, the second Nike sneakers released, Nike Air Zoom 3, a midsole and heel sole version of the Nike Flex.
In 2019, the most successful Nike sneakers were the “Gel,” “Sleek” and Air YEEZY series, which became the “Dance” series and the first to include the Nike Vapor branding.
In 2023, the fourth Nike sneak, the Jordan XI, was announced and debuted in the US.
In 2017, the Nikes “Glow” color was launched, along the Nike Fly and Nike Fly+ lines.
In 2017 the first Nikes were released in Japan.
In 2014, the world’s first Nike Air X, Nike Vapor X and Nike Vapor Zoom were launched.
In 2014, Nike became the first global sports brand to launch its own line of shoes.
In 2015, Nike unveiled the Nike Solids, a new line of high-quality footwear that would include a Nike+ logo on the upper and Nike logos on the soles.
